Change the letter in WhatsApp

As many of you will know, WhatsApp allows you to modify some aspects of its configuration. Still, it is not an app that stands out precisely for allowing a high level of customization, as it does with Telegram.

To be able to change the fonts, we will have to install an app called “Fonts”, which is available both in the Android application store and in the iPhone App Store. Once downloaded and installed, you will have to do the following if it is an Android mobile:

  • Open the Fonts app.
  • Click on “Enable Fonts Keyboard” and activate Fonts as a virtual keyboard.
  • Exit and re-enter the app and click on step 2: “Switch to Fonts”.
  • From the options that appear, choose Fonts to use it as the main keyboard.

Once these steps have been carried out, enter WhatsApp and you will see how the different fonts available appear above the Fonts keyboard. Swipe from right to left to see them all. You will have to click on the one you like the most and that’s it! From now on, your texts will have a different typeface.

  • Open the app and click on the “Go to settings” button.
  • There, enter “Keyboards” and activate “Fonts,” in addition to the button that will appear next called “Allow full access.”
  • Enter WhatsApp, open a text chat, click on the symbol of the keyboard in the shape of a world ball, and then choose “Fonts.”
  • As in the previous case, you can choose the font you prefer from those that appear above the keyboard.

Other options

We have given you as an example the most popular application to change the format of texts, but in the app store of your phone, you will find dozens of similar ones.

Another alternative is to use the bold, italic, strikethrough or monospacing offered natively in WhatsApp. We explain how to use each one:

  • Bold: Places an asterisk before and after the text. For example, put “* Hello *” (without the quotes).
  • Italic: Put underscores before and after the text. It would be “_Hello_.”
  • Strikethrough: Put a checkmark before and after ” ~ Hello ~.”
  • Monospaced: Three backticks before and after. “` “ text“` “.

If you find it difficult to put the strikethrough or monospacing, you can directly select the written text before sending it and give it the format you want. We hope these tips have been useful for you!
